Dog Day Care




  Your dog will play, nap and hang out with friends while you're busy at work. Discounted multi-day and/or multi-dog day care packages are available.

Also we are pleased to offer 30-minute on-lead walks for $7.00 and off-leash outings daily for $10.00, in addition to normal day care and boarding fees.

  Day care Requirements:

To qualify for day care at Nitro K-9, your dog must be:

     Dog friendly and appropriate with other dogs
     We accept intact males and females
     Vaccinated for Rabies (1-year or 3-year vaccines accepted)
     Vaccinated for Distemper and Parvo (1-year or 3-year vaccines accepted)
     Vaccinated for Bordetella (required every 6 months and given at least 14 days prior to attending your free trial day)
     Passed a fecal test for parasites (required every 6 months and results obtained at least one week prior to attending your free trial day)

Day care dogs must be picked up by closing or a $25 late fee will be assigned for the first half hour. After that they will be boarded at normal boarding rates.

Because we are busy both with training and boarding services, you will need to call us in advance to make an appointment for daycare or boarding services. We are not available for drop-off without appointment.



   Day Care Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When I drop my dog off for day care, should I bring any toys?
A: No, please keep your toys at home. We provide toys for the dogs to play with while they are here. We sterilize all toys every night.

Q: Where do the dogs go to the bathroom?
A: The dogs are taken outside to relieve themselves.

Q: What do you do with sick dogs? A: We do not accept sick dogs unless the condition is NOT TRANSFERABLE. We accept dogs with cancer or who have been hit by cars and are recovering, and dogs that have had orthopedic surgery. We can dispense medication and will communicate clearly and intelligently with your Vet. We will take the best care of your dog.
